Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Be Gone Satan 👿”

Scripture: Matthew 3:10

Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone Satan! For it is written, “You shall worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.”

Observation: What is God saying to me?

Satan is always looking to find a way to get you to agree with him. When he gets you to agree with his lies he places a stronghold on your life. Jesus was tested and tempted when He was physically hungry and weak. Satan typically shows up in your hour of weakness.

Through the Holy Spirit’s power you can overcome Satan by the authority Jesus gives you. When you are born again, awakened by the Spirit, Jesus gives you authority over the enemy of your life. The same authority Jesus walked in is available for you to walk in too. Break off agreements with Satan and stand firmly in the authority of Christ. Then you will be free to live the life of calling God has for you without the hangups and hindrances of hell holding you back. It is for freedom that Christ set you free, do not allow yourself to be bound to a yoke of slavery again.

Application: What will I do about it?

In Matthew 28:18 Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.” He then commissions us to go into the world in His name and authority to dismantle the effects of hell and to populate heaven.

Today, verbally take a stand and command Satan to “Be Gone” in Jesus name. Invite the Holy Spirit to lead you in peace, presence and power as you move in His authority throughout your day.

Prayer:

Jesus, thank you for dismantling the powers of darkness through your work on the cross. We accept your gift of authority that was made through the new covenant written in your blood. Your blood shed allows freedom for us both now and forever. Satan, you have no place, platform or stronghold in our lives in Jesus’ name. Amen!
