Title: “Lip Service”

Scripture: Matthew 15:8

“These people honor me with their lips, but their heart is far away from Me.”

Observation: What is God saying to me?

I am not looking for “lip service,” I’m looking for service that flows from the heart. Bring your heart continually before Me and serve Me with your heart. When your heart gets into service your mouth will follow suit.

Application: What will I do about it?

Pray throughout the day. Don’t just think, but transfer your thoughts into prayers and interaction with the Holy Spirit. Prayer is the gateway to engagement from the heart.

Prayer:

Lord, we want to honor You from our hearts, not just our mouths. We repent of lip service without heart service. We are committed to serving with You with our hearts before our mouths.

I Am Grateful For… desire that flows from the heart.
