Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Unkink the Hose”

Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-20

Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks;
For this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit.
Do not despise the prophetic utterances. (Spoken to you)

Observation: What is God saying to me?

In order to be in a continual place of joy, you must pray without stopping.
Find a reason to give thanks no matter the circumstances of your life.
You are a vessel on earth who releases my dominion where I have called you to live. When you quit praying you begin quenching the Spirit.
You are supposed to flow like a hose that delivers everlasting water to the world. When you quit praying and giving thanks it’s like putting a kink in a hose. To get the flow open, you must stay grateful and walk in a continual conversation with Me.

Application: What will I do about it?

Set alarms today to remind you to give thanks and pray.
When the alarm goes off, if you are not in Spirit filled prayer, repent and begin to pray. God wants to train us to walk in continual joy.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, thank You for dwelling within me. The greatest thing I fear is snuffing out Your voice and losing the anointing You have placed on my life.
It is the one thing that gives me rest and assurance, knowing that You are with me, for me, not against me. I love You Jesus.

I Am Grateful For… Joy from heaven flowing within me. Give me more Jesus.
