Neal’s Lit Word
Title: “Lean Into Learning”
Scripture:
Proverbs 26:12 → Do you see a man wise in his own eyes, there is more hope for a fool than for him.
2 Timothy 4:7 → I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.
Observation: What is God saying to me?
1️⃣ It’s better to be a fool than to think you are smart and have it figured out.
2️⃣ There is little to no hope for the arrogant and proud because fools take a huge beating in scripture and still rarely change.
3️⃣ Being humble, teachable, gentle, compassionate, slow to speak, quick to listen and willing to learn is a VERY HOPEFUL Course of action.
Son, if you want to say at the end of your life, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith,” then lean into learning like never before!
Application: What will I do about it?
Slow and steady wins the race. Sometimes we don’t want to learn because we don’t think we have time. Being a lifelong learner is the best way. Today, we must adopt an internal attitude of humility that hungers for learning. Pride says “I know,” Humility says, “Teach me.”
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, You are the Guide, the Teacher, Friend and Course Corrector.
We want to walk on Your road, we want to do Your will above all else. Teach us Holy Spirit. Amen
I Am Grateful For… the Teacher
