Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Dinner Guest”

Scripture: Ezekiel 3:2,3

So I opened my mouth, and He fed me this scroll.
And He said to me, “Son of man, feed your stomach, and fill your body with this scroll which I am giving you.” Then I ate it and it was sweet as honey in my mouth.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

I have given you My words. Open your mouth and consume what I have placed before you. Not eating what is before you is rude. When you don’t eat it shows where your heart, mind and stomach are. Don’t be distracted by and filled up with junk food. My words are delicacies that contain everything you need to run this race and win. John 1:1 I am the written word made flesh. You would do well to listen to it and consume it.

Application: What will I do about it?

Eat up. Enjoy the meal throughout the day. Memorize scripture and keep it in mind as you walk through the day. Don’t make excuses, memorize verses that speak to you!

Prayer:

Jesus, for over 25 years ago, You dropped your word in my heart. It (You) changed my life forever. Though at times I have undervalued the meal You have set before me, in my heart of hearts there is nothing I cherish more or am more grateful for. Thank You for feeding me with the best of the best. Help me to be a better dinner guest. I love you Lord. Amen!

I Am Grateful For… The word that feeds me daily
