Title: “Child of 💟or 👿”

Scripture: 1 John 3:10

By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious. Anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

What you practice points out what is in your heart, it also points out what is in the hearts of the people around you. Children of God allow love to lead the way in all aspects of life. They seek to do good. Love takes all sorts of forms. Sometimes love looks like gentleness, other times it looks like discipline and correction. Loving like God is not weakness, it is strength. The key indicator of being children of God is love. The key indicator of being children of the devil is hate and division. Gossipers, haters and dividers still need to be loved but if those people call themselves children of God and walk in that kind of lifestyle then LOVE needs to correct the hate.

Application: What will I do about it?

Ask the Holy Spirit to point out the fruit in your life. Is the fruit looking like the fruit of the Spirit? 💟 Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Is the fruit of your life looking like the fruit of the devil 👿— anger, hate, rage, jealousy, envy, slander and division among the church? You will know them by their fruit scripture says.

We need to invite the Holy Spirit to get to the root in order that we can change the fruit.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, point out any way in us that is not aligned with Your love. We want to be people of love who walk in the Fruit of Your Holy Spirit.
