Title: "Secret Weapon"

Scripture: Psalm 124:1,2

Let Israel now say, “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side
When men rose up against us,

Observation: What is God saying to me?

My child, what do you put your hope in? Money, strength, family, understanding, hard work, good connections…. All of these are good things, blessings and gifts, but they are not the answer. Here’s the truth. You can be surrounded by “good things” but without the security of Me, [The Lord] by your side, you are vulnerable to destruction. I am your secret weapon. I am your source of security. I want to stay by your side, will you choose to stay by mine?

Application: What will I do about it?

Stay by His side. Don’t wander away. Watch your steps, heart and mind, keeping close eye on your travels. Stay near to the heart of God. Do this through fiercely protecting the space between you and the Lord. When things try to slide in between, put them in check and reposition yourself as near to Jesus as you can be.

Prayer:

Thank You Lord for dying on a cross to bring me close to your side. Without You next to me I am vulnerable to the attacks and defeat of the enemy. With you, I am secure. Without you, I am found wanting. I declare my allegiance to You today Lord. I will chase You and follow You wherever You lead. Amen!
