Title: “Night Watchers”
Scripture: Psalm 134:1-3
1 Praise the Lord, all you servants of the Lord
who minister by night in the house of the Lord.
2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary
and praise the Lord.
3 May the Lord bless you from Zion,
he who is the Maker of heaven and earth.
Observation: What is God saying to me?
Some people are called to pray through the night watches. Child, when you wake up in the middle of the night don’t be discouraged. Count it a privilege and pray until I allow you to fall asleep again. Some of the sweetest times I have with My children are in the middle of the night when the world is quiet. Then it’s just Me, you and the night watch.
Application: What will I do about it?
Prayer is becoming more like breathing. Regular, unconscious, and easy. When you can’t breathe for a moment, anxiety and panic will set in. It’s the same with prayer. When we stop praying, we stop breathing. When we stop praying we get anxious and panic. Here’s the solution, just breathe and pray.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, You are the air we breathe. Thank you for the night watches, thank You for breathing. Today, we breathe You in. Amen.
