Title: “Hiding Place”
Scripture:
Psalm 136:1 Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His lovingkindness is everlasting;
Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knows those who take refuge in Him.
Observation: What is God saying to me?
My child, I love to put My lovingkindness and mercy on display through you.
Goodness is one of my greatest attributes. I don’t have plans to harm you for your destruction. Everything you are going through is to get you to a place where you fully submit to My goodness and lovingkindness. When hard times show up, do not stiffen your neck or get hard headed, instead receive the gift that the moment has to offer and use this moment as an opportunity to experience my love and mercy. I do not give you what you deserve. I graciously give you goodness and love that you do not deserve.
I am happy to do it. Take refuge in Me. I know when you do and I know when you don’t. Your hiding place is in my goodness and lovingkindness.
Application: What will I do about it?
This is a season to discover God’s goodness through imperfect circumstances. Look for His goodness and tell someone about His goodness and lovingkindness today.
Prayer:
Jesus, we want to discover Your mercy and goodness. For those who are having a hard time seeing through pain today, open our eyes to see. Uncover your mighty works, so we can see blessing in the midst of hardship. Holy Spirit, help us! Amen!
