Neal’s Lit Word
Title: “Wait is an action word.”
Scripture: Psalm 27:13,14
13 I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the Lord; Be strong, and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord.
Observation: What is God saying to me?
Wait is an action word. To wait does not mean to be idle, lazy or loose in the use of your action and energy. It is a call to bind yourself to expectation, to be bound together by the promises and security of a Sovereign God who shows up at the perfect time to release you from the depths of your despair. You would have despaired unless you believed that you will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Application: What will I do about it?
Stand in absolute confidence in what you will see. In fact, see it now, get a picture of God’s goodness received, released and revived in the land to which you are sent. You will see it, stand with certainty on this promise. Wait with confident expectation that goodness through His power and presence is in your future.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, release Your goodness for us to see. I believe you are about to flip the switch, I long to see it happen, I’m excited and expectant of the release of Your power. I will be strong in You and the strength of Your might. Through the name of Jesus I pray. Amen!
I Am Grateful For… confident expectation
