Neal’s Lit Word
Title: “Full Potential”
Scripture: Mark 4:28
The kingdom of God is like this…
The soil produces crops by itself; first the blade, then the head, then the mature grain in the head.
Observation: What is God saying to me?
This is the process of growth humans take as they mature toward being more like Christ. It starts with a seed planted in faith, then the person sprouts into a tender blade of grass. If the conditions stay conducive to growth, the person grows into maturity. Far too often people are not engaged in a growth environment and never mature into their full God-given potential. It is our job to partner with Holy Spirit and pattern our ways around His growth strategy for our lives. Then we reach our potential and live a life of faith and abundance in Christ.
Application: What will I do about it?
Stay planted in the Holy Spirit, He in me and me in Him. Develop soil that is fertile with the nutrients of God in order that many more people can grow into the fullness God has created them to be.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, apart from You, we can not grow. We never reach full potential on our own. The only way is to deepen our relationship and roots with you. There is no other way. Today we choose growth, but not by might and strength, rather, we simply exist and enjoy You. In You, we live, move and find our being! Amen!
