Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Wits’ End Moments”

Scripture: Psalm 107:27-30

They reeled and staggered like drunkards; they were at their wits’ end.
Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper: the waves of the sea were hushed. They were glad when it grew calm, and He guided them to their desired haven.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

What is your go to when you get to your “wits’ end.” In the past, you may have turned to people, substances, work, effort and will power. Starting now and everyday moving forward I welcome you to cry out to Me in your trouble. Troubles come, there is no way around them.

The most important thing you need to do is cry out to Me. Whether at your “wits’ end” or in a wonderful land do the same thing. Cry out to Me and take action on what I reveal to you. I can hush the storm, I can make a way. All of your troubles and “wits’ end” moments are sent as training moments to keep you in a place of connection with Me. Stay connected through crying out to Me, your only source of sustenance and life.

Application: What will I do about it?

Today holds the same winning formula as yesterday. This will never change. Cry out to the Lord like a hungry child who is dependent on his mother to feed him. Know that the Lord hears, cares and comforts His child at all times. Good, bad, wits’ end or wonderful land, the formula stays the same. Get hungry for God and depend entirely on Him for help.

Prayer:

Jesus, You give every good gift in both the moment of need and the moment of plenty. You are the sustainers of our lives. In You, we place our trust.

I Am Grateful For… support in every situation.
