Title: "The Best Treasure"

Scripture: Psalm 119:9-11

9 How can a young man keep his way pure?
By keeping it according to Your word.
10 With all my heart I have sought You;
Do not let me wander from Your commandments.
11 Your word I have treasured in my heart,
That I may not sin against You.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

In a corrupted and stained world it’s not easy to keep your way pure.
Let Me (the Lord) let you in on a big secret. Don’t try to do it on your own!
I am your helper, but you need to accept My help and direction. When you seek Me, you are not seeking to know the “bible,” you are seeking Me.

The Word points to Me, I am the Living Word. Read the bible and when you do, do it to know Me, to hear My voice and to receive wisdom to navigate this life. These verses hold the secret….

1️⃣ Keep the “Way” just like someone keeps a house. When you keep up on something you maintain it. Keep your life up by staying in the Word (Jesus)
2️⃣ Seek with “all of your heart” to know the Word (Jesus) intimately.
3️⃣ Treasure the Word in your heart, dwell on it, get joy from it as a prized possession.

Application: What will I do about it?

Read the Word today, plant a specific scripture in your heart and mind and repeat it throughout the day by setting an alarm to remind you of the verse. If you can’t remember it, then write it down and keep it in your pocket for reference.

Prayer:

Jesus, You are the Living word and the One who guides our lives if we ask. We are asking Lord, be our guide, give us direction and let us know who You are, who we are in You and what you want us to do today.
