Title: “Better Than Gold”

Scripture: Psalm 119:127

Therefore I love Your commandments above gold, yes, above fine gold.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

Just the word “commandment” causes some to stop listening. There is a stigma around the word commandment. It causes some to immediately check out because they don’t feel they can uphold the “commandment.”

What if you started to look at My (the Lord’s) commandments differently. Maybe the devil and the world have you tripped up and thinking wrong about the commandments! The commands I give you are more valuable than gold. Really! This is the truth. Start thinking differently about My instructions. I don’t command you to limit you, I command you to liberate you!

When you get with My commands and cherish them in the deepest places of your heart you will find blessings like you haven’t seen before. The only plan I have for you is good, get with the commands and see how valuable they really are.

Application: What will I do about it?

Dwell on Matthew 22:36:40 today.

36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And He said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”

Prayer:

Lord, cause me to love and cherish Your commandments just like the writer of the Psalm instructs. Please allow me the grace to see the benefits and hold tight to them. Amen!
