Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Heavenly Increase”

Scripture: John 3:30,34

30 For He must increase and I must decrease.
34 For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

This is counter intuitive thinking to what the world speaks to you. The world is always pushing us to get more, become more and increase more. The more you increase without Me, the more important you are to yourself the further you move from Me. The way to true increase in this life is for you to allow Me to become more in your life. When I increase in you and you decrease in you then you will discover purpose in its fullness. When you hear My words they are life to you, I will pour more of My Spirit into you and you will overflow. I give the Spirit without measure. As you decrease, there is more room for Me to increase.

Application: What will I do about it?

Listen and obey. Hear and act. Be with Jesus then do what He says.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I want more of You and less of me. You are the Way, Truth and Life. You are the Bread of Life and the Living Water. Fill me, feed me, lead me, change me by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen!
