Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Nights and Mornings”

Scripture: Psalm 119:147-148

147 I rise before dawn and cry for help; I wait for Your words.
148 My eyes anticipate the night watches, that I may meditate on Your word.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

Like a hungry baby waiting to be fed, wait for the word.
Like a bird with its mouth open waiting for the provider's return, wait for the word. Develop rhythms of return. Set aside pockets of time for powerful encounters where you wait for God’s word. When you anticipate spaces and times of encountering God’s word, your hunger increases and expectation drives you forward to make these times and spaces a priority.

Application: What will I do about it?

The nights and mornings are sacred spaces where encounters seem to happen more frequently. Set time aside for the word and increase your expectation of what you will encounter in these sacred times and spaces.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit we long to encounter your Living Word in powerful ways. Cause our hunger to increase or desire to be fulfilled and the effects to be greater hunger and more traction, in Jesus’ name! Amen
