Title: “Uncover and Discover”

Scripture: Psalm 119:162,165

162 I rejoice at Your word, as one who finds great spoil.
165 Those who love Your law have great peace, And nothing causes them to stumble.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

The discovery of the Living Word brings great joy and peace. When it is uncovered and discovered by a thirsty soul it is like finding a never ending supply of food and water. You never have to hunger or thirst again.

Some who approach the Word for the wrong reasons do not discover this great spoil because their intentions are off. But when we search the Living Word with hunger and humility, with diligence and desperation, God uncovers the Living Word before your eyes and allows you to discover the Source of Life that is everlasting.

Application: What will I do about it?

Do not approach the Word for knowledge of scripture, instead approach the Living Word for relationship with Jesus. Read the Word to know Jesus and not to know scripture.

Prayer:

Jesus, You are the Source of Life, only You! Open up the Living Word before me that I can know You in the innermost depth of my being. Amen
