Title: “Balance the Battle”
Scripture: Psalm 120:6-7
6 Too long has my soul had its dwelling with those who hate peace.
7 I am for peace, but when I speak, they are for war.
Observation: What is God saying to me?
Having your soul surrounded by opposition, strife and people who stir up trouble wears you down over time. People of peace are a prized possession that should be honored and cherished in this life. It’s ok to distance yourself from those who want to stir up trouble and constantly fight. Unfortunately, in this world you will have trouble, but take courage I (Jesus) have overcome the world. John 16:33 – In Me, you can have peace and I will position people of peace around you to balance the battle that wars against your soul.
Application: What will I do about it?
When war shows up at your door through people who constantly stir up problems or like to make things difficult, disconnect your heart and mind from them. You don’t have to give your heart to those who crave a fight, instead position yourself around people of peace. Be grateful for the peaceful people God has placed in your life.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for sustaining my soul in times of trouble and thank you for bringing peaceful people around me to balance the battle. The battle is Yours God, help me to fight according to your ways and not my own. Amen!
I Am Grateful For… Balance in the battle.
