Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Strategic Relationships”

Scripture: Acts 8:29-31

[Context] Philip was a follower of Jesus who was being led by the Holy Spirit. He is led to an Ethiopian who was reading scripture in his chariot.

29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go up and join this chariot.” 30 Philip ran up and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” 31 And he said, “Well, how could I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

There are many people who need guidance in their relationship with Me. When you allow Me to teach and train you in the ways of God, then you will be able to pass on what you have learned and help others discover the Way too. This is the mission I came to earth to accomplish and when you follow Me this is the business I will position you to accomplish. Here’s the key, let Me lead you and show you where to get good guidance and who I have called you to give guidance to. Through My Spirit, I will strategically lead you to the right relationships in this season of your life.

Application: What will I do about it?

We all need good guidance. What will it take for you to be more like Philip and seize opportunities to guide others toward the Kingdom? Reaffirm your relationship with those who guide you and begin to look for strategic relationships God has called you to guide. Get guidance to give guidance.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, I receive You again today as my Perfect Guide. Lord, I will humbly embrace Your leading and will not resist Your guidance. I want to be about your business, guiding as you see fit. Amen

I Am Grateful For… good Godly guidance
