Neal’s Lit Word
Title: "Let The Good Times Roll!"
Scripture: Proverbs 16:20
He who gives attention to the word will find good,
And blessed is he who trusts in the Lord.
Observation: What is God saying to me?
Distraction is the devil's objective. In a world with plenty of shiny objects that pull your attention away from My Word, you have to battle the distraction and fix your attention. It isn’t always “bad” things that get your attention, oftentimes it is good things that take it.
This Proverb remains true. When you give your attention to the Word, you will find good. You will be blessed when you place your trust in Me.
Fight the distractions, bad or good. Fix your attention and watch the blessing flow. You arrive at maturity when you are able to fix your attention on the Word while not neglecting the important things that still need your care.
Application: What will I do about it?
Learn to live in constant awareness of the presence of God. One method you can implement is planting a scripture in your mind, committing it to memory and recalling it often. Then, let the good times roll!
Prayer:
Jesus, our helper! Raise us up in maturity, show us how to walk with You giving attention to what matters most. Help us to handle what we need to do each day without losing sight of You. Amen!
I Am Grateful For… an increased attention span!
