Title: “Way Follower”

Scripture: 2 Chronicles 14:7

14:7 “Let us build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours because we have sought the Lord our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered.

15:2b the Lord is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

15:4 But in their distress they turned to the Lord God of Israel, and they sought Him, and He let them find Him.

16:9 For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

It’s not enough to find the way, you must follow Me once you find Me.
I am with you when you are with Me. When you choose to leave Me or simply not follow Me where I am going then you are running your losing race on your own. It’s not enough to find the way, you must follow Me along the way.

I will strengthen you and cause you to prosper when you fix your eyes on Me and tell your feet to follow Me. I do not make Myself difficult for you to find. Finding and following Me is simple, but it requires obedience. If I say stick close and you decide to stray, why do you question Me loyalty? I never leave those who choose Me, but I don’t chase those who willingly depart from Me when they know better.

I am searching for hearts that are fully committed to Me to strengthen them to accomplish and prosper in My purpose. When you choose to become a way follower then I will cause you to be a waymaker for those who don’t know the way. I am the way, follow Me. You won’t regret staying close.

Application: What will I do about it?

Like a dog who obeys his master and sticks by his side, so we must stay close and obey our Master. Do this through….

1️⃣ Humility to follow
2️⃣ Hunger for truth in the word (bible)
3️⃣ Attentiveness and obedience to simple commands

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, You only did and said what You saw Your Father doing. We are fully committed to being like You. Help us Lord, apart from your grace (love) and mercy (pardon) we can do nothing. Amen
