Neal’s Lit Word

Title: Direct Your Diligence

Scripture: 2 Peter 1:10

Be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things you will never stumble.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

Practice what things? The previous verses instruct us to apply “all diligence in our faith. It says to supply moral excellence, knowledge, self control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love to our faith. It’s like fuel for the fire! Being diligent to add these things to our faith will solidify our calling and cause us to excel into God’s plans for our lives.

Application: What will I do about it?

No one wants to be unfruitful and stumble their way through life, and if you do then we need to dig into the root issue that is causing you to want to be unfruitful. Being diligent is a key ingredient we need if we want to be fruitful and excel in what God has called and chosen us to do.

When we are called to fruitfulness, we can’t settle for being less than fruitful, it’s time to direct your diligence.

Today, let's dig into diligence or maybe I should say let's dig into areas where we are lacking diligence so we can solidify fruitfulness and enjoy the calling God has placed on our lives.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, you love me when I am fruitful and when I’m fruitless. You love me when I’m diligent and when I’m slacking. You love me when I’m lacking faith and full of faith. Love is not the issue. You have called me to enjoy a fruitful life, point out the places I am lacking diligence so I can stand fully in the calling you have set up for me. In Jesus Name. Amen.

I Am Grateful For… grace when I’m lazy and a wake-up call to get my rear in gear when I’m slacking.
