Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Seek and Find”

Scripture: Isaiah 55:6
Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.

Observation: What is God saying to me?
There are windows and moments of opportunity. Right now we have a big one. The Lord is available to be sought and found. There will come a time when He is unavailable. We can’t miss this great opportunity. There is no treasure more worth finding.

Application: What will I do about it?
People spend so much time chasing after other things. Sometimes its because they don’t know what they are missing, other times it’s because they don’t feel that they know how to seek. It also can simply be laziness that keeps people from being hot on the path of the Lord.

When we recognize what is available to us, that the Lord of all creation is making it possible for us to find Him, know Him and spend time with Him, we then get our act together and put in the work to seek Him out.

Think of it like hide and seek. He is wanting us to put in the effort to pursue Him. When we do, just like a father hiding from a 2 year old, the Lord jumps out from his hiding place and says “Here I am, you found Me!”

Today I will seek the Lord!

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for making yourself available to be found! I am grateful that you allow me to find you when I seek you! Place a great hunger inside me today to chase You down. In Jesus Name, Amen.

I Am Grateful For… The desire to seek the Lord! Increase my desire!
