Title: “Need to Know Basis”

Scripture: John 16:12,13
I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear (handle) them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.

Observation: What is God saying to me?
You can’t handle everything I have to say to you right now. It would be too much for you. You need bite size communication. But you can trust Me in this, I will lead you and guide you with the right words at the right times. Are you willing to listen and obey when I speak to you?

Application: What will I do about it?
When God speaks, I cannot delay. When I delay I fall behind what the Holy Spirit is saying. What He is saying is what He is doing. He speaks to guide my life. If I am not responding at the proper time to what He is speaking then I’m always a little behind.

God will not tell me too much. If He tells me more than I can handle then I will fall into complete overwhelm. He only gives me what I really need to know. This causes me to trust in God when I can’t see what’s coming.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, you know what I can handle and what I cannot. You know where I am going and where I should not. I trust you with what I can’t see and trust you with what I do not know. You know all, and tell me what I need to know when I need to know it as long as I’m listening. Speak Lord, your servant is listening. Amen

I Am Grateful For… that God lets me know what I need to know when I need to know it.
