Title: “Step By Step Instructions”

Scripture: Job 1:6-7

One day when the angels came to report to God, Satan, who was the Designated Accuser, came along with them. God singled out Satan and said, “What have you been up to?” Satan answered God, “Going here and there, checking things out on earth.”

Psalm 37:23

The steps of a man are established by the Lord, and He delights in his way.

Observation: What is God saying to me?
You have to remember where you live. Earth is a beautiful place, but it has unseen enemies that roam around on it. These dark enemies are looking to devour people and to lead them to everlasting destruction. Like Job, even when you are walking in the right direction, Satan still tries to knock you off course. Don’t be discouraged by the test. Count the opposition as an opportunity to test your determination, devotion and commitment to walking in the right direction. When you know the enemy is on the prowl you won’t easily fall into his tricks and traps. When you delight in Me, I delight in you and establish your steps.

Application: What will I do about it?

Step by Step Instructions:
Step 1: Delight in the Lord
Step 2: Enjoy the way you are walking
Step 3: Be on guard for the enemy that sometimes stands in your way
Step 4: No matter what tricks he throws at you, delight in the Lord anyway!

Prayer:
Holy Father, you know what we need. You are a good Father who knows when we need encouragement but you also know when we need to be tested. At the perfect time You walk us through exactly what we need. Grant us the determination to continue to delight in You no matter what comes our way. Amen!
