Neal’s Lit Word

Title: "Protection and Security"

Scripture: Psalm 37:29-32
29 The righteous will inherit the land
And dwell in it forever.
30 The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom,
And his tongue speaks justice.
31 The law of his God is in his heart;
His steps do not slip.
32 The wicked spies upon the righteous
And seeks to kill him.

Observation: What is God saying to me?
Those who chase after Me in sincerity and hide my word in their heart so that my words flow from their mouths will be protected and blessed. Wisdom is watching the movements of heaven and moving where heaven moves. Your feet will not slip when your heart is set on sticking with Me.
Even though enemies come upon you to wreak havoc and see you destroyed they will not succeed and you will enjoy life in the land I have called you to live.

Application: What will I do about it?
Giving our attention to following Jesus is never a waste of time. As years pass by and life unfolds before us it is the only thing that keeps us protected from the evil that is all around. This is something we can never quit doing. Seek first and with all of our hearts!

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for acceptance and protection. Without your covering we are vulnerable to being destroyed by the hate and division in the world around us. In You, there is shelter and security both now and forever, for us and our families that come after us. Thank you!
