Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Lantern, Compass, Map” 

Scripture: Psalm 43:3-4 

Give me your lantern and compass,

give me a map,

So I can find my way to the sacred mountain,

to the place of your presence,

To enter the place of worship,

meet my exuberant God,

Sing my thanks with a harp,

magnificent God, my God.

Observation: What is God saying to me? 

There is a Way to the sacred mountain, the place where I, The Lord, meet you face to face. In this place you enter My presence and experience the joy of being near Me. I am everything you are looking for. You don’t have to waste your time searching for solutions any longer. When you ask for the right gifts I drop them on your doorstep because I am for you, not against you. The lantern, compass and map are tools for searching, I give them to you because I want you to find Me. Seek and you will find, I will direct your steps and light the Way to our secret meeting place. 

Application: What will I do about it?   

When God gives us a Lantern, Compass and Map He is expecting us to use them. That’s why we have them. The word of the Spirit is our source of light and direction for where God is on the map. We use the Lit Word of the Spirit as a guide to God. Our job is to figure out where He is and what He is up to each day and get there.

Prayer: 

WayMaker, thank You for lighting our paths. Thank you for giving us the tools to see, navigate and arrive where You are so we can meet with You and be filled up with Your presence. Amen!
