Title: “Weapon of Worship”

Scripture: Psalm 44:4-8

You’re my King, O God—
command victories for Jacob!
With your help we’ll wipe out our enemies,
in your name we’ll stomp them to dust.
I don’t trust in weapons;
my sword won’t save me—
But it’s you, you who saved us from the enemy;
you made those who hate us lose face.
All day we parade God’s praise—
We thank you by name over and over.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

I, The Lord, fight on behalf of those who declare Me as King and call out to Me. There is an unseen battle taking place behind the scenes of your life. If you fight what you see you will be fighting with the wrong force. It is not your weapons and sword that will save you. I am the One who sees perfectly behind the scenes of what you see. Your weapon is worship. When you lift up your voice in praise and trust, I am motivated and mobilized to fight on behalf of My children.

Application: What will I do about it?

Never allow struggles to make you shrink back from worship. When the struggles get harder our worship must get louder. When the tests get tricky our praise must prosper. Praise and worship reach the ears of the General of the Angel Armies. The only way to send the message is thanks, praise and worship.

Prayer:

Lord, You are the General of Angel Armies, We are front line soldiers sent to inhabit land and lead lost children back to You. When weapons are formed against us they are formed against You. Today we lift up Your name knowing that You have the strategy for what to do next. We trust You Lord.
