Title: Open Door

Scripture: John 10:9
I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

Jesus is the only door to enter into the good land.
Any other way we try to get in will not work.
Good deeds, helping people, “not sinning” or any other method will not get us to the good land. The only way in is through the door. Once you find the door and walk through it, then you have an Open Door in front of you for the rest of your life. Every day you can wake up, walk through the door and enjoy the good pasture.

Application: What will I do about it?

It would be silly for us to stay in the bad land when there is an open door for a good land. We would be fools not to enter in, yet somehow people seem to have a hard time entering in.

That season is shifting, people are getting more and more hungry for the good green pasture. When I was a kid I would spend time tromping the mountain pastures with my grandpa from time to time. That’s what I picture when I read this passage. A cool place where it is peaceful, sweet smelling and flowing with living water.

I’m getting some of that today! How about you? Are you going to enter through the open door?

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for opening the door to us. We don’t deserve the kind of access and abundance that you give us, but we are grateful for it. In Jesus Name! Amen
