Title: “Family Restoration Business”

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17-18

17 Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new person. All that is related to the old order has vanished. 18 And God has made all things new, and reconciled us to himself, and given us the ministry of reconciling others to God.

Note from 2 Corinthians 5:17 (This would include our old identity, our life of sin, the power of Satan, the religious works of trying to please God, our old relationship with the world, and our old mind-sets. We are not reformed or simply refurbished, we are made completely new by our union with Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Behold, everything is fresh and new.)

Observation: What is God saying to me?

Child, when you choose to live your life in Me, I completely repair you and make you a brand new person. Why? Because I love you and wanted to rescue you from a life of misery, shame, sickness, and disconnection. I want you to be in a connected relationship with Me. I also want you to partner with Me in rescuing others. You now have a job to do. Work with Me in the family business of restoring people back to Me. I will show you who to reach out to. I will give you the tools you need and the words to speak to help them discover Me and leave the old life too. Welcome to the family mission! You now are part of the family business.

Application: What will I do about it?

Being renewed in Christ is the greatest gift we could be given. Jesus conquering the effects of sin in our lives and restoring us into a right relationship with God should cause us to give Him our all. Today, count it a privilege to be restored and do the work of the family mission partnering with the Holy Spirit to restore others.

Prayer:

Lord, our Redeemer, thank You for bringing us together in relationship. You are the greatest gift the world has ever known. Thank You for including us in Your family restoration business. Amen
