Neal’s Lit Word
Title: “Ultimate Enemy”
Scripture: Psalm 54:1-2
1 God, deliver me by your mighty name!
Come with your glorious power and save me!
2 Listen to my prayer; turn your ears to my cry!
Observation: What is God saying to me?
In this life you will have many enemies. Don’t forget enemies come in many different forms. Some show up disguised as people, other enemies show up in the form of addictions, selfishness, pride or a host of other possibilities. The driving force behind every enemy that wants to destroy you and those around is Satan. He is the ultimate enemy who sends attacks on your life. He wants you to buy into his tricks, to take the bait and swallow it hook, line, and sinker. Don’t take the bait. Lean into Me and I will show you how to defeat your enemies one by one.
Application: What will I do about it?
We defeat our enemies through leaning into the Holy Spirit. We lean into the Holy Spirit by crying out to the Lord like desperate children who know that at any moment our loving Father is going to show up and smack our enemies. Let’s lean in and cry out to the Lord!
Prayer:
Lord, our Protector, only You have the power to put our enemies down. When You speak our enemies flee. Lord, we are crying out to You, whatever hell has sent to defeat us, show up and shut hell down. We just want to be close to You! Amen!
I Am Grateful For… a Divine Protector.
