Neal’s Lit Word

Title: “Lift Your Voice”

Scripture: Psalm 61:1-3

Hear my cry, O God; give heed to my prayer. From the end of the earth I call to Thee, when my heat is faint; Lead me to a Rock that is higher than I. For Thou has been a refuge for me, a tower of strength against the enemy.

Observation: What is God saying to me?

Child, cry out to Me! Lift up your voice and proclaim with faith your convictions. When you are light hearted or overwhelmed with the waves of life don’t forget to cry out with all of your heart by lifting up your voice. When you cry to Me out loud with your voice I hear your call. I provide safety and shelter, and protect you from the attacks of the enemy. Your enemy is the one who hates Me. He hates you because you love Me. He hates Me because he is arrogant, prideful and didn’t get the throne that he wanted. I protect those who cry out and ask for My protection and plant themselves in the shelter of My care.

Application: What will I do about it?

Don’t hesitate to lift up your voice to God. Even though you may not feel “good at it” or you may not know exactly what to say, lift your voice anyway. As you practice you will quickly get more comfortable. The enemy doesn’t want you to lift your voice in faith. Don’t let the whispers from the enemy keep you from the blessing of crying out to God with your voice.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, You are our helper. When we don’t know what to say or pray you can give us the words. Today we step out in faith and lift up our voice. Please meet us when we do. Teach us to pray and teach us to praise, in Jesus’ name! Amen!

I Am Grateful For… courage to lift my voice to God
