Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.

Above the greatest abundance. Very Emphatic. Superabundant.

Ask (154)

Request, ask, beg. The seeking by the inferior from the superior. The beggar to the giver, by the child to the parent, by man from God. --- Jesus never used this particular word for ask, He always used (2065 erotao) which means equal. Jesus never begged for what He requested, rather he requested as an equal of the Father on behalf of Himself or His disciples.

To put it all together and make out its meaning. Comprehend. Understand.

Power (1411)

Inherent power. Able, Capable. Faculty, Ability. Authority. Dominion.

Works (1754)

To be active and energetic. To effect, to prove oneself strong. It denotes the inspired prayer and productivity brought about by the operation or energy of the Holy Spirit. The result of being energized by God’s grace.

THOUGHT BREAKDOWN:

The crux of this verse is caught in the reality of “the power that works within us.” The more His power is at work within us the more we are released to the exceeding abundant reality of what God desires to be in your life. He desires to move us beyond our wildest expectations. I believe 2021 is a year of exceedingly abundant power, which will bring about an exceedingly abundantly greater outcome than we could beg to happen, or think possible otherwise.

WHAT IS THE SPIRIT SAYING?

Do not strive and struggle in your labor anymore. That is the old way. The new way is one of rest, peace, trust, and certainty. I have shown you time and time again that I am with you. Therefore you can be 100 percent sure that I am guiding your life. Lean into my power. Release the need to be in control. Do what I show you. That's it.

WHAT WILL I DO ABOUT IT?

Rest in the power of God, knowing that He wants us to walk in the kind of light that transforms us and the dark world around us. It’s bigger than we think!

I AM GRATEFUL FOR… the love of God that gives people power from above to see greater things happen on this earth than we could ever imagine.

  • Do you have any limiting beliefs about yourself or God that need to be cleared up before moving forward into the next season?
  • How do you know what power is working within you?
  • Do you have any ways of telling what power is at work within you?
  • Think about the levels of the fruit of the Spirit in your life (Galatians 5:22). Do these attributes indicate that you are walking in the power of the Spirit? How?

This is a year of exceedingly abundantly greater works than ever before, because the power of the Spirit is prompting and leading our every move. The presence of Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, Faithfulness, and Self Control, indicate this to be true. If the Fruit is absent, then I must check my power source.
