Easter 2024 "Born to Love - Reverse the Curse"

I’m so glad you are here! What you saw when you pulled up to the building is a restoration process. Sometimes you just need a fresh start / a makeover / restoration. It’s a lot like our lives, right?!? We all need fresh starts and face lifts from time to time. Over time, life can wear you down, we all need a fresh touch that energizes a fresh start! I know that many of you are visiting today, and possibly looking for a church to call home. We are honored to have you with us this weekend! If you are new to what we do here, let me take a moment to share a little bit about us. We are a faith community of imperfect people seeking to follow Jesus not just know about Him. Our purpose is to see all people, affected (heart), effected (trained), and infected (sent) by the love of God. God is love. Love isn’t weak….. Quite the opposite, it’s the strongest force. Love conquers all… hate, hurt, habits, hindrances… you name it…. LOVE WINS! Our purpose is not only to help you on your “spiritual journey” but on your whole life's journey, seeing you, your family, friends, and community affected, effected and infected with the love of Jesus! We hope this weekend you will allow us to act as a tour guide who introduces you to Jesus and helps you get to know Him and follow Him with every fiber of your being! Part of the Born to Love journey is the step of baptism…. And 3 Sundays from now (April 21st) we’ll make that next step available to you! Starting today and over the next couple of weekends we will be preparing you for this important next step with Jesus as we focus on how to live a life of restoration! You won’t want to miss the next couple of weekends…. As we focus on how Jesus can and will reverse the curses in our lives as we study the old testament character of Joseph. As we begin today’s talk… I want to lead with one of my favorite verses in the bible. John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
